Difference between a VPS and a Dedicated Server

A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a virtual machine hosted on a physical server, where multiple VPS instances can be hosted on a single physical server. Each VPS instance has its own operating system, resources, and root access. This allows for greater flexibility and control at a lower cost than a dedicated server. However, the resources of each VPS instance are still shared with other VPS instances on the same physical server.

A Dedicated Server, on the other hand, is a physical server that is entirely devoted to a single user or organization. The user has complete control over all resources of the server, including the operating system, CPU, RAM, disk space, and bandwidth. This provides the highest level of performance, security, and reliability, but at a higher cost than a VPS.
